Love that story about Petula Clark w/Harry Belefonte. Incredible to imagine that such a thing was controversial just a few short ecades ago.

The short-lived Canadian show "Getting Along Famously" did a version of the Petunia Clark story. The show was about a husband-and-wife recording duo (played by Colin Mochrie and his wife, Debra McGrath) who starred in a variety show on Canadian television in the 60's. In one episode, the show's producer was up in arms because the wife wanted to do a duet with a visiting American recording star (played by Wayne Brady). Nice to know where they got the idea for that episode from. (And hooray for Petunia for sticking to her guns.)

Here's an idea for a future legend. Did the mystery in the Richard Marx song "Hazard" have an actual solution, or was that just hype?
