Wow. What's really fascinating about the Boss story is not that he designed uniforms for the Nazis, but that Hugo Boss, the founder AND NAMESAKE OF THE COMPANY, was one himself. While it's true that modern companies like Volkwagen, Benz, Siemens, Bosch, and Bayer all worked closely with the Nazis, I can't think of any other examples of a company founded by and named after a Nazi that is thriving today (I suppose Ford would come close, but Henry never actually was a Nazi, despite his and Hitler's mutual-admiration-society). That said, you're slightly in error- though the Boss company did produce the uniforms, they weren't designed by Hugo himself, but rather by Karl Diebitsch and Walter Heck. In fact, I'm not even sure Hugo Boss was EVER a designer.
