I'm enjoying your site immensely! Very cool stuff.

But I have to challenge your Thomas Dolby lawsuit article.

According to Wikipedia:
Dolby Laboratories was reportedly very displeased with Robertson using the company name as his own stage name (especially for his "Dolby's Cube" moniker in 1985-86) and sued him, trying to stop him from using the name Dolby entirely. Eventually, the case was settled out of court and it was agreed that he would refrain from using the word Dolby in any context other than with the name Thomas.

So, yes Dolby Laboratories WAS worried about the name "Thomas Dolby." Especially since, coincidentally, the inventor's son was in fact named Thomas Dolby. Imagine how he feels when asked about being a one-hit wonder!

Also, The songs from Howard the Duck were always credited as written by Thomas Dolby. He wrote the songs, not the band. Dolby's Cube released an EP in 1985 and the band was listed as the performer on the HtD soundtrack. Neither the EP nor soundtrack was recalled, reprinted, or renamed. "Dolby's Cube" wasn't retconned out of history, Dolby just can't use the name again.

"Howard the Duck" is an underrated film and Thomas Dolby's fantastic soundtrack is only one of the reasons people need to stop thinking about the film as they've been *told* to think and actually watch it.

A lot of people deserve to be sued over Howard the Duck but for completely different reasons!
