Roderick Jaynes is really more of a fictional character than a psuedonym; they submitted a fake photograph and biography and everything.

Catlin was "living in Minnesota" and "was not brought to the United States".

Really? Was that back when Minnesota was part of Canada?

I believe the fictional Roderick Jaynes -- pseudonym for Joel & Ethan Coen -- was also nominated for an Oscar... TWICE! "He" was nominated for editing Fargo and No Country For Old Men.

I wonder if the writer of "Bedtime Story" - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0057878/ - wich was later remade as "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels", was thinking about this story on Brando when he wrote the screenplay.

As you can see from youtube - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jHq-n2m3VI4 - "Brando cons Shirley Jones into thinking he's disabled to get her sympathy (and money). Niven spoils it for him."

Normally I'm not a fan of Cage and avoid his films like the plague, but I had to see Adaptation because of the writer and director. It was a damn good movie despite Cage being in it. Can't wait to see Jonze's take on Where The Wild Things are and there is a production with a crazy story of development hell and then talks of it being taken away from the director. Would probably make some good fodder for a future installment when the movie is due to come out...HINT HINT
