Thanks, Chris!

The story was still true, but you're absolutely right, the reasoning behind it was not. So I fixed it. Thanks again!

I doubt anyone's still looking at this page 18 months down the line, but just in case, I'm checking in from the UK to let you know that the story about Davey Boy Smith cannot possibly be true. Firstly, there has never been a field on the UK birth certificate for "middle names", there has only ever been "surname" and "forenames", so Smith's mother couldn't have made the mistake claimed. Secondly, Smith's mother would not have been filling in the certificate anyway. Birth certificates are filled in by the Official Registrar of Births for the area in which the child was born, and never by the parents, so unless the Registrar decided for some reason to write "David Boy" in the "forenames" field, then the story isn't true.....

Yeah, Triple H's first big push was in the late 90s with D-generation X, which also included his (real life and storyline) girlfriend at the time, Chyna. He didn't get involved with Steph (officially, at least) until 2000.

The time line gets a little muddled, though, since he was married to Steph in kayfabe before he even started dating her in real life. (And, life eventually imitating art or not, that was the storyline that was stupid enough to make me stop watching wrestling regularly.)

To be fair to "Triple H" he was a major player and rising star long before he started dating Stephanie McMahon.

One could easily make the case he wouldn't be as much a constant central player as he is, but he'd still probably be main eventing without being married to Steph.

It does bear mentioning that one of the main reasons Mr. Levesque is a central figure in the WWE today is because he's married to Vince McMahons' daughter Stephanie.
