…Actually, there were *two* last shots. The Lark, and the car that God/Yahweh/Roddenberry intended for everyone to own but we were too fucking stupid to listen, the Avanti. Those original Avantis still outperform most of the “sports cars” produced today, and were clearly ahead of their time as well as mobile masterpieces.

Two minor corrections: It’s “Brandis,” not “Brandeis.” The actor, incidentally, died from suicide in 2003.

Secondly, he exactly did Julia Louis-Dreyfus have “a smaller role?” It’s an ensemble sketch comedy.In fact, as one of only three females in the cast, she was called on to do a hell of a lot of heavy lifting, as I recall.
