Regarding "Comme d'habitude" / "My way"

Claude Francois was a French Idol from the 60's to his death in 78, "Comme d habitude" is the only of its songs that isnt an instant success (it will take 3 mounths to be it, thats part of the reason Paul Anka could aquire the rights for next to nothing - Claude Francois wrote those lyrics after a break up, and the lyrics talk about that lost love, The song is a slow..wich isnt what Claude Francois did, he was more on lively ,fun ,dancing songs)

Jacques Reveaux is a composer and producer, Worked with/for many French singers (essentially Johnny Halliday and Michel Sardoux)

Gilles Thibeaut was a famous lyricist (he died in 2000) who worked with Johnny Halliday, Michel Sardoux, France Gall ans Sylvie Vartan

Before Paul Anka aquired the rights of the song, Francois and Reveaux had proposed the song to David Bowie, but he never came up with good enough english lyrics.

The SACEM (french authority on rights/sales figures for the music industry) list "Comme d'habitude" as its first royalties income up till 2008

As long as you're bringing up Angus Young's brother and sister, you should mention that his older brother (Steve, I think) was a member of the Easybeats, as well as a successful songwriter and producer.
