Click <a href=\"http:\/\/legendsrevealed.com\/entertainment\/2009\/04\/19\/movie-legends-revealed-history\/\">here<\/a> to view an archive of the movie urban legends featured so far.<\/p>\n<p><u><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">MOVIE URBAN LEGEND<\/span><\/u>: Gwyneth Paltrow had an interesting approach to a radio contest revolving around her.<\/p>\n<p>In 2003, actress Gwyneth Paltrow was in New Zealand filming a movie about Ted Hughes and Sylvia Plath (originally titled Ted and Sylvia, it eventually was released as just Sylvia).<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/legendsrevealed.com\/entertainment\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/11\/sylvia_movie.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><iframe src=\"http:\/\/rcm-na.amazon-adsystem.com\/e\/cm?t=legenrevea-20&#038;o=1&#038;p=8&#038;l=as1&#038;asins=B00005JMJD&#038;fc1=000000&#038;IS2=1&#038;lt1=_blank&#038;m=amazon&#038;lc1=0000FF&#038;bc1=000000&#038;bg1=FFFFFF&#038;f=ifr\" style=\"width:120px;height:240px;\" scrolling=\"no\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>While driving to the film set one day, the star was listening to the radio. A local radio station was running a sort of &#8220;Star Stalker&#8221; game. They would give away $100 for a photograph of Paltrow, $1,000 for a pair of knickers stolen from her hotel room or $5,000 if they could get Paltrow to actually come to the phone and speak live on-air.<\/p>\n<p>Well, Paltrow figured, why not play along?<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\nSo when she arrived at set, she found a young worker on the set (accounts differ on how she chose the young man &#8211; one version says she checked around to see who was paid the least on the set, I find that one a little hard to believe, while another version says that she had a particular production assistant in mind from the get go, I think that sounds more plausible) named Nathan, and the two of them called in the radio station and voila, we had a winner!<\/p>\n<p>Paltrow raved to the radio station about how much she was enjoying her time in New Zealand, and she talked about what a hard worker young Nathan was. <\/p>\n<p>Isn&#8217;t that an awesome thing for her to do?<\/p>\n<p>The legend is&#8230; <\/p>\n<p><u><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">STATUS<\/span><\/u>: True <\/p>\n<p>Thanks to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mirror.co.uk\/celebs\/news\/2003\/01\/22\/a-gwinner-in-love-115875-12557255\/\">The Mirror<\/a> for the information on the situation. <\/p>\n<p>Feel free (heck, I implore you!) to write in with your suggestions for future installments!
