TV URBAN LEGEND<\/span><\/u>: James Doohan managed to hide his missing finger throughout the filming of the original Star Trek series.<\/p>\n

Something that has come up a number of times over the years in past TV Legends is actors who spent a lot of time on their series hiding things that they don’t want you to see. Some notable examples include Gary Burghoff hiding a misshappen left hand on M*A*S*H* while playing Radar O’Reilly on the series<\/a> and Larry Hovis hiding his wedding ring as the very single Sergeant Carter on Hogan’s Heroes<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Another famous example that we haven’t discussed before was James Doohan, who hid the fact that he was missing his middle finger on his right hand while playing Scotty on Star Trek. <\/p>\n
